Episode 58: At Last!

I finally got my wife to go to the range with me!  She's a pretty good shot, but she doesn't
go as often as I'd like her to.  Also, Nikki Haley signed the repeal of the 800 degree law last June, and I just found out about it at the last gun show.  I sent her a thank you note.  Firearms appreciation day and the Albany Rally - a friend of mine from high school was on the news.

Thank you for repealing the 800 degree law
Madame Governor:
I went to the gun show at Jamil yesterday and was perplexed but delighted to see Cimmaron,
Jimenez, and Phoenix pistols for sale.  In the past, I've pointed out to the out-of-state
vendors that these are not permissible here, but yesterday I saw them at an in-state vendor's table.
The vendor informed me that you had signed a repeal of that 800 degree law, and it deepened my appreciation for your approach to our freedoms.
Thank you very much for doing away with this counterproductive law.

Episode 57: PVC Target Stand

I got spoken to at the range a couple of weeks ago about the height of my target stand.  I'd been getting ready to build a new one, and that gave me the impetus to get on with it.  Also, Firearm Appreciation Day, youtube stealing, and the genesis of the Eloi.

Episode 48: I Gave In

I gave in to temptation.  After being so proud of myself for not buying that revolver last episode, I found a deal too good to pass up.  Lee N. Field's review of the Bersa Thunder .45 and some fatherly advice.  Also, I found a great new gunsmith in downtown Lexington: The Gun Monkey!

Episode 28: Airgun Projectiles

Here’s a rundown of different projectiles that you can use in various airguns.

BBs, pellets, darts, bolts, and other oddities.

It turns out that 1.21 gigawatts of electricity really can throw you back to the year 1955.

Episode 25: Skeet Scat: A Tale of Two Asses

I recognize that I'm fairly useless with a shotgun.  Until my last outing to the range with my stepson, I had only ever taken one shot at clay.  I missed.  I did much better this time than I thought I would.

There's a new improvement on the traditional stink bomb out there.

Also, it gets hot in SC, and sitting down in this heat can hold some awkward surprises.

I'm pretty tickled with myself. I managed to fix 2 guns all on my lonesome. Okay, I did get some instructions on youtube and from a book, but they're back in action.
