Episode 63: Silk Purse

My Jimenez JA-22 refinement project went better and faster than I expected.  The next time I took it to the range after the following refinement, it gave me 100 for 100... then again the next time.

Episode 62: Sow's Ear

In celebration of the repeal of the 800 degree law, and inspired by The Gun Monkey's success in refining a RIA 1911, I decided to refine a Jimenez JA-22.  I've got my work cut out for me.

Episode 61: Background Checks

I explore flaws in and the possible misuse of NICS background checks.  Also, Biden's folly, anger management for ammo, and some links to instructive videos.

Episode 60: 2009 in 2013

Well, here we are again.  Ammo shelves are empty, all the ARs are out of stock, and the resale price gouging is going full-bore.  I learned my lesson back in '09; didn't everybody?

Episode 59: SC Feb 8 Second Amendment Rally

I went to my first 2nd Amendment rally on Friday! The speakers were inspiring, the weather improved as the morning went on, and the crowd was hilarious!  Among the speakers were Sen. Lee Bright, Rep. Phillip Lowe, Talbert Black from Campaign for Liberty, Dr. Gene Garris (my chiropractor) and host of America's Radio Show, Harry Kibler, from SC "Rino Hunt", and Sen. Katrina Shealy. Katrina was brief but awesome.

Here's a youtube of Katrina Shealy

Episode 58: At Last!

I finally got my wife to go to the range with me!  She's a pretty good shot, but she doesn't
go as often as I'd like her to.  Also, Nikki Haley signed the repeal of the 800 degree law last June, and I just found out about it at the last gun show.  I sent her a thank you note.  Firearms appreciation day and the Albany Rally - a friend of mine from high school was on the news.

Thank you for repealing the 800 degree law
Madame Governor:
I went to the gun show at Jamil yesterday and was perplexed but delighted to see Cimmaron,
Jimenez, and Phoenix pistols for sale.  In the past, I've pointed out to the out-of-state
vendors that these are not permissible here, but yesterday I saw them at an in-state vendor's table.
The vendor informed me that you had signed a repeal of that 800 degree law, and it deepened my appreciation for your approach to our freedoms.
Thank you very much for doing away with this counterproductive law.

Episode 57: PVC Target Stand

I got spoken to at the range a couple of weeks ago about the height of my target stand.  I'd been getting ready to build a new one, and that gave me the impetus to get on with it.  Also, Firearm Appreciation Day, youtube stealing, and the genesis of the Eloi.
